Ibuprofen Side Effects

A client recently asked me to research the side effects related to ibuprofen. She was up to 1000mg per day to get relief from leg pain. When I heard the dosage, the alarm bells went off.
What I found out was astounding. We don't realize that these drugs cannot be taken without the risk of significant side effects. This is especially true when high doses are taken on a regular basis for pain control.

Ibuprofen has relatively few side effects, but symptoms can be more intense. The most common are gastrointestinal in nature - abdominal pain, nausea and diarrhea. Less frequent side effects involve skin rashes, the nervous system, liver and even the kidneys. Those over age 65 are more likey to suffer from these symptoms.

Before taking doses over 200mg per day, one should consult a physician and check with a pharmacist for drug interactions.

Beyond that I recommend considering other ways of dealing with chronic pain. In my opinion, energy therapy is an effective solution over the long term.
